The batman and robin of my skin and hair summer woes

A few months ago, I chanced upon the Jamaican Black Castor Oil 8oz. & Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil 4oz. combo when I was browsing at amazon. Since I’ve been seeing great raves about JBCO & EVCO on twitter, facebook and pinterest prior to that, I decided to buy it since I thought it was a good bargain, two products for the price of one! It arrived just a few short days after purchasing it but I forgot to use it and it sat at the back of my medicine cabinet a few weeks.

Summer arrived and I got a really bad sunburn which hurts like crazy. I have very sensitive skin and had ran out of aloe vera so desperate times calls for desperate measures right? I finally opened my bottle of JBCO (that’s Jamaican Black Castor Oil for newbies reading this) and I immediately liked how rich it looked. It was smooth and dark like honey and very thick. It also came in a dark bottle that protected all the goodness it brings, apparently, the darker the castor oil, the more healing properties it has. Anyways, I applied it on my sunburn and zap! Just like that and the sting is gone. And I mean totally gone! My angry sunburn was soothed like a baby just like that.

Since I knew about the wonders of JBCO, what puzzled me was the small bottle thingy that came with it and the EVCO (the applicator, but I didn’t know what it was back then, sue me) so I looked it up and it was supposed to help spread and apply the product in the hair, since castor oil is very thick. So what I did next is to apply the JBCO sort of like a hot oil treatment or pre-shower intense conditioning agent. My hair was soooo dry and frizzy from all the days I spent at the beach and the pool and zap again! My hair was transformed into smooth and shiny, frizz free moisturized hair in just one application! Talk about miracle in a bottle that’s for sure! I used the EVCO as a hair moisturizer after shower and it totally defined my beach wave locks and smelled amazing like a tropical summer paradise!

I was rocking the use of the JBCO & EVCO for my hair for a few days when I realized that my stubborn nail fungus (TMI lol) looks like they have seen the face of death! They were nearly gone! Zap again! JBCO & EVCO strikes the nail fungus to my nail’s relief! I use my fingers to massage the oils to my hair and scalp and I guess they kapowed the nail fungus like that.

My skin peeled when my sunburn healed and guess what came to the rescue (again)? It’s of course Jamaican Black Castor Oil & Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil dynamic duo! I smeared some on my loofah and exfoliated my dead skin cells away. Usually, exfoliating dries my skin, but not with the ever trusty JBCO & EVCO. My skin is very smooth, moisturized, supple, and oh so sensual thanks to its combined moisturizing and healing powers.

JBCO & EVCO totally saved the day of my summer forays, and the best thing is that, I’ve heard they are also both great for winter dry skin. I am actually excited for the freezing season just to have more excuses to use JBCO & EVCO, and by the way? I also started applying JBCO on my eyebrows and lashes a few weeks ago and I am seeing incredible results.

For all the girls out there, JBCO & EVCO should be in your survival kit, as in totally! I honestly do not know how I survived the cold dark world of chemical laden gotham city of beauty products before Jamaican Black Castor Oil & Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil came to the rescue but I cannot live without them now.

I’ve used them for skin and lip exfoliation (mixed with sugar), cuticle conditioner, hair conditioner, hot oil treatment, skin moisturizer, minor skin irritations, my nail (ewww gross!) fungus, old scars (which are amazingly starting to fade), growing my eyebrows and lashes (which are getting a lot thicker now and gives me a big eyed look which boys find gorgeous, hint hint hint!!!!), and even massage my feet with a mixture of it with some lavender oil for a good night’s sleep.

With Jamaican Black Castor Oil & Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil in my cabinet, I don’t worry about the dark forces of skin and hair problems looming by waiting for an attack haha as I am sure that JBCO & EVCO will always be my heroes and save the day.
